Three Words About Me
Okay, so you’ve made it this far. Now I can only imagine you’re asking yourself, “Who is this chick?” Well to start off, I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. If you ever find yourself in Boston and spot a 5’3” twenty-something with long curly hair, there’s a chance, slight as it may be, that it’s me! When it comes to appearance, these blonde curls of mine are hands down my favorite. No joke I still cry when I have to get a hair cut…it can get awkward for all involved. Anyway moving on. I graduated from Skidmore College about a year ago and have been trying to find my place in this world since then. Honestly ‘adulting’ is not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean don’t get me wrong, there are some days where I wish I was eight again and all I had to worry about was what color pencils to use in school but, mostly I’m a pretty happy person. I believe you make your life what you want it to be.
I wanted to start this website for myself to have everything I love in one place, and to also show the world who I am. If you choose to follow this journey you will learn about my new favorite music each week, maybe an inspirational message here and there, and you will one hundred percent get to know my dog, Tucker.
My friend once asked me to describe myself in three words, not using any adjectives. It’s way harder than you think. You really have to think about all aspects of your life; who you are, who you want to be, and what made you the person you are today. I love my words and I keep them in a note on my phone.
Free – So my family calls me a Jippy: a jappy hippy (for those who don’t know a jap it is a Jewish American princess.) In no way shape or form do I think I am a jap but a jippy suits me. I am by far the most free spirited in my family. In other words I listen to myself. I try not to stress something that is out of my control and I always try and view life from a new perspective. Being free is about letting yourself be and not fighting where the world takes you.
Feelings – I am an extremely sensitive person on the inside and out. When I am sad I let it out and when I am happy I need the world to know. I think that the feeling of happiness is spread by sharing it. If everyone kept his or her own happiness inside then what is the point in being happy anyways. The feeling is meant to be spread and shared. However we need to understand our sadness in order to appreciate our happiness. I have a saying that my family and friends have grown to know; "I feel all the feelings". And you should too.
Love – I love love. I think love is the most powerful sensation our world has created. I know this sounds a bit la di da but its true: it’s wonderful. I’ve only experienced love a couple times but love encompasses so much more than just loving another person. I love my dog probably an unhealthy amount, I love music, I love working out, and I love my friends and family. Love is about understanding yourself and allowing yourself to be open to what may come.
So there are my three words that perfectly describe me as a whole. Ps. you should give it a try
